The coming of Jesus Christ into this world brought great joy to all men. Even the angels in heaven expressed great joy and praised the Lord for His birth.
One of the reasons why Jesus came to this world is to add beauty to your life that your joy may be full. His birth was a time of joy to the whole world. I have never seen any man who likes to be sad but everybody wants to be rejoicing at all times.
Do you know that there were so many prophecies about the birth and life of Jesus that brought joy to all people?
There was a man in the book of Luke Chapter two named Simeon, it was revealed to him by the Holy Ghost that he would not see death until he had seen the Lord Jesus Christ. He was waiting patiently for this great day. When he saw Him (Jesus Christ) he boldly declared:
“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”
What a great joy to the world!!!
- Jesus was to give light to the people in darkness and shadow of death. Isaiah 9:2; Mat. 4:14-17.
Throughout the life of Jesus on this earth, He did not stop solving man’s problems. He was always setting people in bondage free. He always raised the dead and cast out evil spirits.
Light in this context means knowledge. Bible says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6. It should be clearly understood here that it was ignorance that held people in bondage when Jesus declared in the book of John 8:32 that “you will know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Adequate knowledge of the truth is what gives us the real freedom.
The major problem of man today is ignorant. The moment we begin to do something about our ignorant by studying, most of our problems will be solved. It takes study to get knowledge and knowledge will pave the way for your freedom.
- Jesus was to give everlasting Peace. Isaiah 9:7.
No wonder the Bible called Him the Prince of Peace. He has come to give peace to every unsettled home and comfort to every sorrowful heart. This was evident in His earthy ministry. That was why He said in John 14:27.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
- He came to save us from the hand of our enemy (Satan) Jer. 23:5-6, Luke 1:71.
These are just some of the prophecies as touching Jesus Christ. You see, Jesus fulfilled all these prophecies concerning Him. And the world is still enjoying the joy he brought at His birth till today.
There are so many prophecies concerning your life also that must be fulfilled to bring joy to the world. You are not created by accident; there is a reason why you are here on earth.
- God knew you and ordained you before you were born. Jer. 1:5.
God knows whom you are going to be, what you will become, the position you will hold in life, whom you will marry etc. He knew everything concerning you before your mother conceived you. You are in the mind of God.
- You are perfectly created. Gen. 1:26,31.
Let me boldly tell you now that no matter what is happening or what you are passing through right now did not change the fact that you are perfectly created in the image of God. There was no mistake in your creation.
At a point in life one may begin to think whether God made mistake in creating him/her. But God can never make mistake. The fact that what you are passing through today is not pleasant does not mean that your tomorrow will not be good. The scripture says “You are complete in Christ Jesus who is the head of all principalities and powers,” Col. 2:10.
It doesn’t matter what people are calling you. You are not what people say you are but you are what the word of God says you are.
Begin to see yourself the way the word of God sees you and it will be well with you.
- You are the salt of the world. Matt. 5:13.
Salt is good. Any soup you prepare without salt will not taste well. You are the salt of the world, you must not live for yourself alone you are to live for others. Your life must add value to the world. You must be a blessing to the people that comes in contact with you. That is what you are created for.
- You are king and queen. Rev. 5:10.
This is not misprint, it is accurately printed, you are what the Bible says you are. Your eyes of understanding only need to be enlightened to be able to think and live the way God created you.
- The world is waiting for your manifestation. Rom. 8:19.
In view of all the facts mentioned above as touching your life, the people of the world is waiting for you to begin to manifest, to bring joy to their lives.
As that man (Simeon) was waiting to see the Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Luke Chapter two before he died. The same way the world is waiting for you as you are reading this message. You are important in the purpose and plan of God. God is depending on you.
Know matter the level you are right now. Rise up and fulfill the plan of God for your life. Rise up and fulfill the prophecies that had spoken concerning you before your birth.
Do you know what; Jesus successfully completed all His assignments on the earth. He said “it is finished.” You also must complete your assignments on this earth. The purpose for your life must be realized and rightly pursued.
